What Is A Blog Hop?
A blog hop is a list of blog posts related to a similar topic. A blog “host” lists a Linky (list of links to other blogs or posts) on their page, along with their Blog Hop rules.
There are two steps to each Blog Hop:
1) Each participant add their info to the Linky so others can see it.
2) Each participant re-posts the Linky on their blog to promote the blog hop.
How Do I Participate In The Savvy Homeschool Moms Blog Hop?
Add a link to your specific blog post to the Linky. Be sure to use the URL for the blog post and not your main blog URL. For example, link to https://savvyhomeschoolmoms.com/How-To-Blog-Hop not to https://savvyhomeschoolmoms.com. By adding the link to the specific blog post, you save hoppers from having to search your blog for the pertinent posting. Blogs that do not link to the specific blog posts will be removed from the Linky.
What Do I Get Out Of Participating In A Blog Hop?
Blog Hops are fun, and a great way to discover new bloggers. Also, it puts your blog in front of new people, who may otherwise never have seen it!
How Do I Make The Most Of A Blog Hop?
Visit AND comment on other blogs. If you found a new blog through a Blog Hop, make sure you leave a comment and let the blogger know how you found them.
Always add the linky to each of your Blog Hop postings, so that people can go from your blog to the next without having to click back. Add the graphic for the Blog Hop to your side bar, with a link back to Savvy Homeschool Moms. The code for sidebar graphic is provided below:
